About First Congregational United Church of Christ Project
The First Congregational Church of Waukesha was interested in adding an entrance to their facility. This new addition would serve as an entryway for not only the church, but the classrooms and day care facility within. They also preferred that the new addition resembled the existing entrance in the front of the building.
MCS Woodworking was recommended to the congregation by the building’s architect due to the custom millworking needed to accomplish the look they desired.
Construction began by building the brick moulding framework to enclose the new entryway, including the bending of the lancet head that would provide a template for the glass inlays. The doors themselves were built as stile and rail construction along with the inserts and zinc bar glass.
MCS Woodworking completed the project within the budget needed and fulfilled the desires of the First Congregation by being able to mimic the pre-existing, custom designed entry way on the opposite side of the church.
